Welcome to Car Credit Counselor, home of the “Guide to Buying a Car©: Knowing the Rules of the Game and How to Get the Best Deal!”. I have been in the car business for over 10 years, with most of that time spent as a Finance Manager. For job security reasons, that is not my real picture, and I am unable to reveal my real name, because what I am doing is considered heresy, and if found out, will get me fired. I am exposing to you, the buying public, insider secrets of the car business and tips to use at the dealership to get a better deal! I am on a crusade to EDUCATE and EMPOWER the buying public. I admit the car business has a sleazy reputation. But I am here to shine the spotlight of truth on the “behind-the-scenes” of what it takes to put a car loan together. I want you to know how and why car financing works the way it does. Most people are in fear of being taken advantage of. I want you to understand so that you can buy with confidence instead of fear.

I am doing this because my years of experience has shown me that people need to be better educated in order to make better decisions for themselves (see the “About Us” link to the left). This “Guide©” is your source for tips and insight into every step of the purchase experience. Yes, it does cost a little bit of money; after all I am taking on considerable career risk here, and I have operational costs to cover. But these insights should help you to get a better deal and save at least 10 times as much on your next vehicle. And here is lesson #1: Don’t ever miss out on a financial opportunity – a ten times return on investment is a home-run no matter how you look at it!

You may be thinking you’ve bought cars before, and you know how it works. You don’t need this kind of advice. Well, with the turmoil and volatility in the financial sector of the economy, many of the old rules are out the window; what you think you know, I can assure you, you don’t! You can go ahead and make your purchase without current guidance, but you will never know what information you missed out on and how much better you could have done! There is only one way to be sure you are making the right decisions, and that is with inside information. The “Guide©” is in its 3rd edition, most recently updated in November ‘08, and is the best source out there for accurate, current information. I see many other sites offering “advice” that is out-dated, incomplete, or simply wrong. Please be careful. In fact, I am so confident that you will see that you need this information and insight before your next purchase that I am putting samples from the Introduction and Conclusion sections right here for all to see:

Conclusion

“Wow! That was a lot of information to absorb. You may want to consider reading through it all again. You may be thinking that this is too much work and that buying a car was supposed to be fun. Well it is still fun and exciting. After all, you’re buying something that is going to be a big part of your life for years to come. But the difference is whether you want to go through this process with your eyes closed and hope that someone doesn’t take advantage of you, or you want to make your decisions based on an actual understanding of how auto financing works. The key is this: car dealerships, like most businesses, make their goals each month on about 80% of their customers. They break even on about 15% of their customers, and actually lose money to do business with about 5% of their customers. Your goal as a consumer is to try to get into that 20% bracket. It does take some work, preparation, and a strategy going in…But the financial rewards are worth the effort. Buying a car doesn’t have to be just an expense. It can also be a smart financial decision.

Good luck!

Make the decision to save yourself the hassle and worry of whether you are doing the right things. You WILL save money buying your next vehicle with this information. Go ahead and get it!
